If you are looking for a more meaningful way to spend a few months in Africa than simply traveling around, volunteering is a wonderful way to spend your time.
Whether you feel you have a lot or little to share, you will certainly develop new skills through varied activities and working with local people, and contribute to lasting change. There will be plenty of opportunities to be creative, use your initiative absorb the local culture.
We have a need for volunteers as nursery and primary school teachers, art teachers, health workers, fundraisiers, builders, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, environmental and farming experts, gardeners .............. the list is almost endless but most important is your passion to pass on your knowledge.
Teaching in a local nursery, or helping to build a Training Centre is positive and empowering but when you go home your skills go with you. If however you can also train, teach and share your knowledg with the locals, the new skills learned continue to sustain progress long after your stay. That is positive and empowering but also inspiring.
